Gig Disks.KN7000 Style ConversionsThenKN7000 was the top-of-the-line Technics keyboard and included some fantasticstyles. Not all of these can be suitably converted to a PSR since many employfeatures in the Technics that are not available, in particular, a very strongsection on vocals and on organ voices. In addition the commercial conversionprograms set all the tempos to 120 so the initial conversions don't soundat all like the original style.
However, with some experimentation and revoicing,these styles can serve as the basis of some very nice styles for use on YamahaPSR keyboards. I have tuned up a bunch on the PSR-2100 and added some one-touchsettings.
I was aided enormously by obtaining a list of the default temposfor these KN7000 styles. I confess that I enhanced some styles by using panelvoices for some of the accompaniment voices. If a style doesn't sound goodon your keyboard, you may want to try running it through Michael Bedesem'sMidiPlayer program, which can convert a style to one using voices on yourparticular keyboard. Joe's Conversions (with OTS) KN5000 Conversions for the Tyros4(Dec 2012) At the very bottom of this page, you will find a lot of KN5000 conversions without OTS.
Some of these were converted years ago for use with the PSR-2000. Recently, I have been updating many of these styles to work with the newer Tyros4. These conversions all include OTS but, since they were developed on the T4, they are in the newer SFF2 format. Most of them should work on the keyboards that use this new format (Tyros3, Tyros4, PSR-S910/S710/S950/S750). There are 60 styles in this first zip file.

I was reminded of how much I liked some of the KN7 styles. So, after a very long break from style-tuning, I thought I would do some updates and tune some of these styles for my current Tyros4. These new updates, which, of course, are in the SFF2 format used by the Tyros4, are provided below. These should also play fine on the Tyros3 and the S910. I hope you enjoy these.
